Work / Volunteer

The ACLU of Hawai'i is not a part of the government and receives no government funds. Our support comes from the contributions of people like you. There are many ways that you can become a part of our mission to protect the rights of everyone:

Volunteer Your Time

The ACLU is a volunteer-driven organization. From mailing newsletters to testifying before the legislature to distributing brochures and speaking to community groups - volunteers are our lifeblood. A few hours a week can make a big difference. Join us for camaraderie, a sense of purpose, and some excitement!

Become a Cooperating Attorney

Legal work is done not only by our one legal director, but also by cooperating attorneys working pro bono. If you are a lawyer interested in working on one of our fascinating cases, we can use your help!
