The Civil Union Bill (H.B. 444, H.D.1) providing same-sex couples with full relationship protections and responsibilities is still alive! We CAN convince the Senate to pass the bill, but we need your help now more than ever before. Please participate in one or more of the following actions so that the civil union bill is heard and passed before the end of the Legislative session on May 7, 2009. Canvass Volunteers are needed to go door to door and pass out flyers asking residents to contact senators to support the civil union bill. The current canvassing effort is focused on Manoa, Sen. Taniguchi’s district, but other districts need canvassing as well.
